SPIRITED HOLIDAYS

“I love the spirit of Christmas,” shared Anthony Crawford who helped inspire this card. “My favorite spirit this time of year is whiskey. As you learn about whiskey you learn that it’s steeped in tradition - just like Christmas. If I had a fireplace, I’d sit down in my chair on Christmas Eve and enjoy a bourbon while listening to the fire crackle. Since I don’t have a fireplace, I’ll settle for watching Home Alone or the Charlie Brown Christmas Special.” 

Anthony was our first cardmaker and sadly passed away in 2021. After spending nearly two decades unhoused, Anthony finally got his own apartment in 2013. Second Story Cards donates 15% of this card to the Crawford Fund. Named in Anthony’s honor, it helps our newest cardmakers get back on their feet and into housing. An additional 10% is donated to Pathways to Housing.
