NOBODY CAN STEAL YOUR BELIEF IN YOURSELFEME1000
Elaine Meyer's debut card inspires us all to never stop believing in ourselves. “When you become homeless, you lose things - both physical and emotional - and parts of your life can appear to fade away,” she shares. “The only thing I never let go of was my belief in myself.” She spent two years at Father Joe’s shelter. Her passion for art helped Elaine stay positive during that time. When creating this card, she added a silhouette of one of her collages, reminding her of the idea that even when things seem to fade away, they often never leave us. “We just have to adjust our focus.” Elaine now has an apartment in San Diego, CA where she can also work on her art.
Elaine receives 15% of the sales from this card. Second Story Cards donates 10% of the profits of each card to a charity of the card-creator's choice. Elaine has chosen Father Joe's Villages for this card.
