CHRISTMAS MEMORIES

“When I was a kid, we’d always have a tree decorated with ornaments, tinsel, and a gold star on top,” remembers Anthony Crawford who inspired this card. “On Christmas morning we’d all get up really early and wait for Mom to wake up so we could open our presents.” One of five siblings, Anthony grew up on First Street Southwest near the Southwest waterfront. After being homeless for more than a decade, today he is thankful that he has an apartment and an opportunity to work.
