BEING A MOM IS GREAT, BUT...SWI1000
This card was created by Sasha Williams of Washington, DC. You might have trouble reading the small print on your screen. We don't want you to strain your eyes, so here you go: Except for the 3am wake-up calls, endless laundry, lack of sleep, diaper blowouts, and did I mention laundry?
A single mother to her beautiful and vivacious 4-year-old daughter Eboni, Sasha is expecting her second child in September of 2017. “I love being a mom. In fact, I actually don’t mind the 3am wake-ups, the laundry, missing my favorite shows, the diaper blow-outs…ok, I can do without the diaper blow-outs. Seriously though, the only thing I don’t like is that I can’t hold on to her forever.” Sasha’s determination and optimistic outlook has helped her overcome homelessness while raising her daughter. In fact, she even wrote, directed and produced the 2015 documentary “Raise to Rise,” about her experience living with Eboni in the DC General Family Shelter. Thankfully today she and her daughter have housing.
Sasha receives 15% of the sales from this card. Second Story Cards donates 10% of the profits of each card to a charity of the card-creator's choice. Sasha has chosen Street Sense for this card.
